The existing treatments for dog anxiety and excitability are not considered homeopathic and pet-friendly. For example, one solution might be to administer anxiety medication, e.g. Xanax, to help calm the dog. However, in this case the pet owner must be present to administer the medication. This may not be possible for many owners with full time employment. Another disadvantage is that it takes some time to process in the dog’s digestive system and will begin working in 30 minutes to an hour. The acoustics of the enclosure are designed to quiet sounds from outside noises, and also to keep the music inside. The reduced light exposure and confined geometry of the enclosure also help calm the animal once he enters the enclosure. Lastly, the design includes vibration damping technology to attenuate the physical vibrations from outside thunder or heavy machinery.
